As a licensed public accounting practice unit in the State of Texas Chichakli, Hickman-Riggs & Riggs is bound by the rules of professional conduct and code of ethics of Texas State Board of Public Accountancy, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the other professional organizations where we are members concerning the confidentiality and privacy of our clients’ information. We created this privacy statement to outline our policy and demonstrate our firm commitment to protect your privacy. Your right to privacy is very important to us and we recognize that when you choose to provide us with information about yourself, you expect us as CPAs to abide by code of professional conduct we are required to follow, and trust us to act in a responsible manner.

We believe that all your personal information should only be used to help us provide you with better service and nothing else. Therefore, we have adopted a policy to protect your personal

What personal information do we collect?

Chichakli Hickman-Riggs & Riggs PLLC is a professional service organization engaged in the practice of public accounting and business consulting. When you visit any of our web sites and access information you remain anonymous.

Before we ask you for information, we will explain how this information will be used. We will not provide any of your personal information to other companies or individuals without your permission.

Some areas of our web site may require registration to access, although typically all that's requested is your e-mail address, name, and job function. The information you supply for registration is used solely by us for the purpose of providing you with the most personalized web experience possible. By knowing your preferences, we can deliver relevant accounting and tax news and updates to you every time you visit

There are occasions where we will ask for additional information. We do this to be able to better understand your needs, and provide you with services that we believe may be valuable to you. Some examples of information our web sites collect are name, address and phone number. Such information is not collected unless you request particular information using the “Information Request Form”.  If you elect to sign up for our newsletter or e-mail list, each message will include instructions on how to "unsubscribe" from that list.

Although we may provide additional links, through our websites to resources we find useful we want you to caution our visitors that these links will lead them to a site operated by different privacy practices. Accordingly, visitors must take the responsibility of verifying the privacy practice and policies of the other websites, as we have no control over the practices of the sites operators, and/or the controls over information that is submitted to these third parties from whom we do not receive any information or users data.
 
For certain services you may request or purchases you may make using our web site you will be required to supply individually identifiable information necessary to process your request to purchase services online. Such information may include:

• Phone/fax numbers

Use of data

We never use or share the personally identifiable information provided to us online in ways unrelated to the ones described above without also providing you an opportunity to opt-out or otherwise prohibit such unrelated uses. We use return e-mail addresses to answer the e-mail we receive. Such addresses are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with outside parties.

Use of "Cookies."

Cookies are tiny text files that an Internet server can store on a user's computer. The files can contain information that can only be read by the server that places the file. Our web sites are NOT programmed to automatically capture your system IP, and our server will NOT setup a cookie on your system or collect data from your computer. You can set your Internet browser to notify you when you receive a Cookie, giving you the chance to decide whether or not to accept it.

Children's privacy

None of our Web sites knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under age 16. If we discover that a child under the age of 16 has provided us with any personally identifiable information, we will delete that information from our systems.

Our adopted and implemented privacy policy is strictly monitored and enforced. To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.
